Recent Empties

Sunday, May 6, 2018

I’ve always wanted to do an empties post, but I kept forgetting to save some of my empty products. When I finally did get around to saving some, I had these empties under my sink for months! I kept meaning to do an empties post, but I just kept forgetting. I have already been accumulating some products for my next round of empties.

— FRESH ROSE FLORAL TONER —
Confession time. This is the only toner I have ever used. When you like something, you like it. I know I should probably try others, but I am way too lazy. I love this stuff, even though I’m not sure it really does anything. It makes my skin feel good and that is enough for me. I’m currently out, so I definitely need to order some more!

— CAUDALÍE  VINOSOURSE S.O.S THIRST QUENCHING SERUM —
This is the only serum I use. I have trouble finding serums that don’t get rid of freckles or hyper-pigmentation. I am just not ready to give up my freckles. I wish I could find something that anti-aging properties as well, but this one is perfect for my dry skin. I have gone through a ton of bottles of these. I will continue to repurchase again and again.

CLINIQUE TAKE THE DAY OFF CLEANSING OIL —
This cleansing oil lasted me for ever! I did a brand review on Clinique skincare, you can check it out here. I wrote the review in 2014! I probably had it longer than I should have, but I don’t care. I’ve tried other cleansing oils since I wrote the review, but I still think it is a pretty good cleansing oil. I prefer to rub the oil onto my skin with my hands and then use a cotton round around my eyes to help remove product.

— BURT’S BEES SENSITIVE DAILY MOISTURIZING CREAM —
I did a review of this product, and several other Burt’s Bees products, you can check out the review here. I liked that the product had a pump. Most moisturizers I have used are in a jar, and it is much more hygienic to have a pump! I didn’t have a problem with the moisturizer, as I used it up, but I didn’t feel like it was rich enough for my dry skin.

— HOURGLASS FILM NOIR FULL SPECTRUM MASCARA —
I have been using the Hourglass mascara for a while. I don’t know how many tubes I have gone through. I am a bit on the picky side when it comes to mascara. I don’t like when a formula is too thick and clumpy on the wand. I also tend to like more lengthening mascaras over volume mascaras. This mascara is one of my favorites.

—  MOROCCAN OIL DRY BODY OIL —
I love this stuff. I definitely think it is best in the summer months, especially in the desert where it’s sometimes too hot for body butter or lotion. I used the majority of the bottle over the summer last year. It’s moisturizing, light, and doesn’t have a strong scent. I will definitely be repurchasing!

— BENEFIT FAKE UP CONCEALER —
Another product I had way too long. Although, to be fair it was basically empty for a while. I just have a hard time throwing things out. They don’t even sell this stuff anymore. I think now it’s the Boi-ing Hydrating Concealer. I liked this concealer because it was hydrating. It didn’t have the best coverage. It also would move around under my eyes and crease throughout the day. I might try the newer version, but obviously I cannot repurchase this one.

—  FIRST AID BEAUTY ULTRA REPAIR CREAM INTENSE HYDRATION MINI —
I have very dry skin that is prone to eczema. I like to keep some of this moisturizer in the house. It doesn’t smell amazing, it doesn’t do anything other than moisturize. I use it when all of my other hand creams are making my hands burn. When my hands are irritated they get really red and burn, this is one of the few products that can calm them down.

— KIEHL’S CREAMY EYE TREATMENT —
Does eye cream really even do anything? Everyone raves about this eye cream. I knew I had to try it. I didn’t notice a huge difference in my under-eyes after using this product. It was very moisturizing, but other than that I didn’t see any significant changes. Not sure I will repurchase this one.

— JOSIE MARAN WHIPPED ARGAN OIL BODY BUTTER —
This body butter is by far my favorite body butter. I am obsessed with the smell. I get the Vanilla Apricot scent. I love that it isn’t too thick, for a body butter. My skin soaks it up and it doesn’t leave any residue behind. In the hotter months, I can only use it at night or if I am not leaving the house that day. But, I think that’s more of a me thing because I also don’t wear makeup in the hotter months! I have already repurchased this product, so I definitely recommend.

— LANCÔME TEINT MIRACLE RADIANT SPF 15 FOUNDATION —
The Lancôme Foundation was one of my first few higher end foundations. I mostly liked tinted moisturizers (still prefer them) over foundations. I really liked this one until one day I was looking in the mirror after wearing it for several hours and it had oxidized. I have pink undertones and this had me looking yellow after a few hours. I didn’t want to waste the product so I started mixing it with my moisturizer and that had worked enough for me. I held onto this one longer than I should have and I won’t be repurchasing.
