Summer to Fall Transition

Wednesday, October 25, 2017

While it has been Fall for a few weeks now, it is still very hot in Arizona. We seem to get Fall a little later than everyone else. I cannot wait to start wearing boots and jackets. This is hands down, my favorite time of year. Just because the seasons are changing, doesn't mean you have to swap out your whole wardrobe. Here are my top 5 tips for transitioning from Summer to Fall.

1. LAYER UP
Layering is key, and one of the most easiest (and basic!) tip to remember. During the day it can still  get pretty warm, but at night it still can get a bit chilly. Adding a cardigan or a light jacket can take a Summer outfit to Fall.

2. ADD TIGHTS
This one is an easy one too. Taking a Summer outfit and wearing tights underneath is the perfect way to make your wardrobe look ready for Fall. Depending on the type of tights, they can also add some warmth as well!

3. ADD DEEPER COLORS
If your like me, you probably wear darker colors all year long (I can't help it - I love an all black outfit!). If not, now is the perfect time to start adding in some rich jewel tones or earth tones into your wardrobe.

4. BOOTS
Boots are a Fall, and Winter, staple. They are also another way to take your Summer outfits into Fall. While boots can be expensive, there are a lot of low-cost boots out there as well. You don't have to spend a ton of money. However, if you want to buy something that will last you several years, it might be a good idea to invest in a pair of boots!

5. IGNORE THE RULES
Do what you want, wear what you want. You make the rules when it comes to your own style. I wear black all year long. I pair black with brown. I wear white after labor day. It really doesn't matter, as long as your happy and comfortable with what your wearing. Wear what makes you feel great!
