Netflix Picks | January 2016

Sunday, January 3, 2016
I thought I would do something a little different this week. Things have been slow lately, and I haven’t had much going on. So besides just catching up on shows that I have gotten behind on, I’ve also been watching shows on Netflix. Just like I love marathoning book series, I also love to marathon TV shows. I thought it would be fun to share a few of the ones I like to watch.

GREY’S ANATOMY
A drama centered on the personal and professional lives of five surgical interns and their supervisors.

I just started watching this show this year! I know, I know. I just can't get enough and I'm only on season 6. I will be watching this for next few months for sure. I recently got my sister to start watching. Over the holidays, I found out that quite a bit of my family actually watches Grey's Anatomy and not just on Netflix, but since it first aired. I wish someone would have told me about it earlier, but I'm having fun marathoning.

GILMORE GIRLS

This show follows the relationship between a thirty-something single mother and her teen daughter living in Stars Hollow, Connecticut.

I've loved this show ever since it first aired in 2000. Gilmore Girls ended in 2007, and since joining Netflix I have re-watched this show twice a year, every year. It has such a special place in my heart. My husband even loves it, and re-watches it with me. We can't wait until the revamp on Netflix!

FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS

This show follows the lives of a small town’s football players, their friends, family, and coaching staff.

Another on of those shows I didn’t know about until the last season it was airing. Friday Night Lights is one of my favorites to marathon on Netflix. I have probably watched this series five times. This show is unique in that it feels very real, which has to do with the way it is filmed. The camera follows the actors around instead of actors making sure they are on point and in frame.
