We had to put down my childhood dog a few days ago.

I wasn't able to be there since I live in a different state. My sister had called me and said that she was declining rapidly. I was just there for a visit a few weeks ago. I was shocked at how thin and not-herself she was. Then, on a Saturday, we were on FaceTime when she said it had to be today. For my sister to admit this was a big deal, she had been holding on for so long and finally realized that Maggie was in pain. She was suffering.

Pass the Remote | Fall 2016

Pass The Remote series is something I do about three times a year: Fall, Mid-season, and Summer. I love books, but they aren’t the only thing I love. I love checking out the new shows that are airing, seeing if there is anything good that I can add to my long list of TV series'. I am a little picky, so I don't watch every pilot, just the ones that I think I'll be interested in. I think when my list of current shows is up you’ll be able to see just how much I love TV too!

A little unmotivated...

It has been six months since my last blog post.

In the last six months there has been a lot going on in my life. We moved from a tiny apartment into a townhouse, which is a lot more space than I'm used to. My husband got a new job, a great job. However, he works about 14 hours a day now. When he is home, I want to spend as much time with him as possible. At the same time, the more I got settled into our new place the less I had to do. Some days it feels like I am just waiting around for him to get home. I don't want to feel like I'm not doing, so I thought it might be a good time to get back into blogging.

Netflix Picks | January 2016

I thought I would do something a little different this week. Things have been slow lately, and I haven’t had much going on. So besides just catching up on shows that I have gotten behind on, I’ve also been watching shows on Netflix. Just like I love marathoning book series, I also love to marathon TV shows. I thought it would be fun to share a few of the ones I like to watch.
