I wanted to write a post about all of the TV shows that I watch currently, it’s a long list. However, It didn’t include any of the new Fall shows because they only just started. I figured I would post the shows I watch currently maybe once a year, and then do a Pass The Remote series three times a year: Fall, Mid-season, and Summer. I love books, but they aren’t the only thing I love. I think when my list of current shows is up you’ll be able to see just how much I love TV too!
IN LOVE WITH…
WHAT IT’S ABOUT — A group of the best and brightest FBI trainees bond at Quantico, until one of them is suspected to have plotted the biggest terrorist attack since 9/11.
WHAT I THINK — This show has my name written all over it. I love these kind of thriller/mysteries! It has a similar time jump as How To Get Away With Murder. It keeps my interest because there is more than one thing you are trying to figure out, what happened in the past (at the FBI training academy) and what is going on currently.
WHEN IT’S ON — Tuesdays at 10PM on ABC
WHAT IT’S ABOUT — A married couple moves to North Dakota to start a chain of laundromats. After an accident, their plans are derailed, and they try to get rich off an oil boom. A ruthless tycoon, who stands in their way, forces them to put everything on the line.
WHAT I THINK — I am having such good luck with some of the ABC shows. I was bummed when Revenge ended, and this show kind of takes its place for me. They are 100% different, but it gives off the same kind of vibe.
WHEN IT’S ON — Sundays at 9PM on ABC
VERDICT’S STILL OUT…
WHAT IT’S ABOUT — A horror-comedy where a serial killer is hunting members of a sorority, after the dean forces them to accept everyone that pledges.
WHAT I THINK — With such a great cast, how could I not tune in. However, I wanted to be a little more scared. This show watches like a spoof on a horror movie. It is good, I’m just not sure about it yet.
WHEN IT’S ON — Tuesdays at 10PM on FOX
WHAT IT’S ABOUT — Based on the 2011 movie by the same title, Limitless centers around a young man who discovers the drug that enhances intelligence, he is coerced by the FBI to use his new abilities to solve cases.
WHAT I THINK — I wasn’t a huge fan of the movie, but I was interested in seeing if I would like the TV show version. I don't have much to say on this one, I’m just not sure yet.
WHEN IT’S ON — Tuesdays at 10PM on CBS
BUSTS…
WHAT IT’S ABOUT — The Muppets are back in this comedy that’s meant for adults. It takes a look at the personal lives of the Muppets both at home and at work.
WHAT I THINK — I had such high expectations for this show. The Husband is such a die hard Muppets fan and this show even fell flat to me. It watches too much like The Office, and I couldn’t stand that show.
WHEN IT’S ON — Tuesdays at 8PM on ABC
WHAT IT’S ABOUT — A reboot of the TV show Heroes, following a new crop of very special humans. Just like the original series, theses people are trying to understand and live with their extraordinary abilities. Starring some of the original cast such as Zachary Levi, Jack Coleman, and a few others.
WHAT I THINK — This doesn’t give me the same feeling as the original Heroes did. I haven’t completely given up on this show, it just won’t be taking up space on my DVR. I might try and watch it again when the entire season is up on Netflix.
