Hello September

Saturday, September 6, 2014

September has really snuck up on me. It feels like we just moved back to Arizona and now we have been here for seven months! Fall is my favorite season, even though we don’t get much of one. I’m looking forward to the change in weather and the clothes. Here are eight things I want to do or make a better effort in this fall!Focus. I want to work a little harder at making a routine for myself. I’m not working right now, which leads to a day filled with no structure. Sometimes I don’t end up getting anything done or sleeping in way to late.

Documenting. I want to document more of what I do. Blogging doesn’t come naturally to me, so when I’m out doing something fun I usually forget to take any pictures for a future blog post.

Husband time. The Husband works two jobs and we often don’t get to spend any time together. I want us to make more of an effort to spend more time together, whether it’s running errands or grabbing a quick bite to eat.

Devotional. More him and less of me. While I was on vacation my mom bought me a daily devotional (my mom and sister already had one), I want to make more of an effort to start each day right.

Swimming. I miss swimming and I’m not even a swimmer. For a long time I was getting in the habit of swimming every morning, then I went on vacation. While I was away, there were a ton of thunderstorms and the pool was neglected so bad that there ended up being algae growing! We are still trying to get our pool back to normal.

Comfort zone. I’ve been getting in the habit of doing little things to get out of my comfort zone. I want to make it more of something to strive for. I want to do something spontaneous.

Keep reading. Keep Writing. Keep doing the things I love. I am a big reader and TV person (yes I said it, and I don’t care!). I love just snuggling up to Gracie (our dog) and marathon TV shows. I also want to write more, and work on getting better at it.

Save. Save. Save. We want to move and soon. Husband is working two jobs now so hopefully we will be able to budget and get back on track.
